Unit 3, weeks 2 - 8

  

FOOD

In this unit we will learn how to talk about food, eating out and cooking. We will also learn useful words and phrases to talk about school lunches and your favourite dishes.

  

What are we going to do?                                      

•·        Learn words for food and drink, different fast food and things in the kitchen.

•·        Learn how to talk about food that you like and dislike.

•·        Learn words and phrases used when cooking and eating with others at home or at a restaurant

•·        Learn about popular British and American food.

•·        Grammar exercises:      Workbook pp. 73 - 80

Questions with do and does

Questions with did

Nouns in plural (e.g. child-children)

Genitive (my father's car, the colour of the flag)


Why are we learning this?                                     

  • To be able to talk about food that you like and dislike
  • To know what to say at meals time
  • To be able to order food at a restaurant
  • To be able to give and follow a recipe in English
